How are STClips an alternative to a resilient channel?
Resilient channels decrease sound by separating the drywall from the studs and by screwing in the metal resilient channel to the support beams to hold in the material that absorbs sound. This process can be time consuming and raise costs because the channel has to be long enough to cover the entire wall. STClips are different. They are smaller clips that create the separation needed from the drywall and the studs. STClips dampen and decouple sound in the wall, while allowing thinner walls that can be built faster with the dual layer system. The specs and blueprints can be found in our spec book and STClip page.
