This wall design can also be built from either 2-1/2" or 3-5/8" Eliminator Track and studs.
Tested and approved
Give your customers peace of mind with our acoustic walls. Our Eliminator Track® design has been tested and passed the one hour fire test for gypsum wallboard assemblies.
How the wall is designed
5/8" type 'X' gypsum wall board applied on both sides of 25 gauge studs placed on 24" centers and attached with 1¼" type 'S' drywall screws 8" O.C. to edges and 12" O.C. to intermediate studs. Suspended ceiling grid is screw attached at 4' centers to the Eliminator Track which penetrates the wall on both sides. The wall cavities are filled with SAFB insulation. A bead of caulking is placed on the top side of the Eliminator Track where it joins the gypsum wallboard.
Testing conducted by Southwest Research Institute in San Antonio, Texas, a nationally recognized and accepted independent testing facility under the guidelines of "ASTM E-119-88 standard methods of fire tests of Building Construction and Materials."
