What is a resilient channel?

A resilient channel is a metal channel that is placed in the drywall between rooms to capture and push sound away from neighboring rooms. Essentially, it sound proofs the wall to eliminate noise from loud neighbors. However, if it is not installed correctly, it could be ineffective. That is why Pro Products created the STClip as an alternative. It is easier to install, blocks sounds more effectively, and uses less space than a resilient channel.
